Did You Know?

A survey of 10-14 year olds by DoubleClick Performics/ROI Research revealed:

1. Young US consumers spent more time on the Internet than with any other type of media
2. 83% of 10-to-14-year-olds went online for an hour or more daily
3. Four out of 10 responding young consumers said they used search to learn about products or services after seeing ads
4. Interesting, because the US Department of Commerce only counts consumers ages 14 and older in its definitions of online shoppers/buyers.
5. PLUS, eMarketer estimates that 82% of US teens (12-17) and 43.5% of children (3-11) will use the Internet monthly in 2009

Trends & Technology

Social networking has changed the way families gather information, share their opinions, and make purchase decisions.

eMarketer projects that by 2011, 50% of online adults and
84% of online teens in the US
will use social networking.

More than ever, people turn to their peers in on-going online dialogues and the type 1 diabetes community is no different.
